Letter from NA: Jan. 28

What’s gone on this week in Hibee Land and the North American Supporters world:

Well, we discussed at length the virtues of black pudding, which finally arrived on northcarolinahibee’s doorstep this week after a tense and yam-choring suspicious few days of waiting. They are the dog’s bollocks it turns out. Everyone stateside is intensely relieved and jealous of the bangers and pudding had at northcarolina’s house.

In lesser important news, Hibs made last minute signings Colin Nish and Abderaouf Zarabi this week. We’re happy with this in general but Nish is cup tied and can’t play tomorrow against the Huns.

Note that last weekend’s Gretna match which was postponed due to water logged pitch has been rescheduled for February 13 at 7:45 pm. This means that most of us will still be at work and cannot watch the game (thanks again Hibs schedulers) but BBC sport’s web site has the live game update with auto fresh every 2 minutes. If I can I’ll be listening to Radio Hibs on my headphones from work.

In one of the articles on Scotsman this week, Mixu said that he woud like to dump the mince players, but only if they want to go. This was a nice way of saying goodbye publicly to O’Brien right? At any rate, we hope this is continual squad-improvement.

Remember that the yams are just a point behind Hibs on the table, not good, not good, so let’s hope our next SPL game against Dundee on Feb. 9 will have us moving up and away from them.

And finally, back to food. Several links were posted this week for getting UK food here in the US, and they’ll be repeated in the Links page of our web site.
